Kanika Gandhi was born and raised in India. She landed as a new immigrant to Victoria, BC in 2013. She started her journey as a Physical Therapist in Canada in 2014. She completed all her education back home- Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2010 and completed postgraduate Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2012.
As a new immigrant, she tried and tested a few cities before settling in Surrey, BC. She spent a few months in Victoria and a few initial years in Edmonton, working as a PT. Her areas of practice include musculoskeletal physiotherapy, concussion management, vestibular therapy and dry needling.
She enjoys working with people from all walks of life, who are committed to achieve their fitness goals. In the past, she has worked with all kinds of injuries- be it work related, car accident injuries, repetitive injuries/syndromes or sports injuries. Her way of treatment involves a thorough assessment, detailed evaluation and educating the client about the root-cause of symptoms and management principles. She is open to questions and is always happy to explain what’s going on and why. During your treatment sessions with her, you can expect to be engaging yourself into a variety of interesting exercise routines- as physical activity is the medicine a physical therapist can offer!
She is a mother of 2 young kids and loves to spend time with them, outside of work. If you don’t see her in the clinic, you will surely see her in neighborhood parks playing hide-and-seek with her kids.
